                                Celebrates "California Wine Month"
                                with Enhanced Vistor Wine Tasting and Tour
                              Carmel 
                                Valley, Ca. - In honor of "California 
                                Wine Month", Chateau Julien Wine Estate in 
                                Carmel Valley has established a four week specialty 
                                tasting and tour schedule based upon themes presented 
                                by the Wine Institute's official campaign. Governor 
                                Schwarzenegger recently honored the California 
                                wine industry with a proclamation designating 
                                September 2006 as California Wine Month, acknowledging 
                                the contributions of the wine industry to the 
                                state and as an important recognition of the value 
                                of wine. In support of the program, Chateau Julien 
                                Wine Estate will incorporate the following events 
                                in the month long celebration.
                              
                                California Wine 
                                Month 2006
                                ------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                Week One: September 
                                1st- 8th
                                Theme: a perfect visit to California Wine 
                                Country
                                Chateau Julien offers the only daily scheduled 
                                tour of a full operating winery in the region. 
                                Tours are complimentary.
                                
                                Throughout the week, 
                                - the Wine Estate will offer a complimentary Chateau 
                                Julien glass to all tour guests
                                - Only limited release Private Reserve wines will 
                                be poured on tour
                                - Barrel tastings will be offered during the tours, 
                                and hosted by the winemaker or owner when available
                                
                                Week Two: September 
                                9th - 15th
                                Theme: California Wine Families- The Next 
                                Generation
                                Chateau Julien Wine Estate is celebrating 25 years 
                                of wine production and hospitality in the upcoming 
                                year. It is family owned and operated, and was 
                                one of the first of ten wineries in the region
                                
                                Throughout week two,
                                - Winery hosts will highlight the history of the 
                                region and the heritage of Chateau Julien Wine 
                                Estate's 25 years.
                                - Select vintages from the Wine Estate's library 
                                will be featured throughout the week, including 
                                vertical tastings of the winery's flagship Private 
                                Reserve and Estate Vineyard Merlot
                                
                                Week Three: September 
                                16th - 22nd 
                                Theme: California wine country- food & 
                                cuisine
                                
                                Throughout week three, 
                                -assorted cheeses and seasonal fruit will complement 
                                the wines on tour
                                - Featured event: Harvest Wine Seminar on Friday, 
                                September 22nd, featuring a bountiful harvest 
                                of local produce and cuisine, family-style after 
                                crushing local Monterey county grapes. Grape crush: 
                                7pm, Dinner: 8pm
                                
                                Week Four: September 
                                23rd - 30th 
                                Sustainability
                                Chateau Julien maintains six acres of grapes grown 
                                on the Estate in Carmel Valley, with the remaining 
                                240 acres grown in south Monterey County
                                
                                Throughout week four, - tours of the 
                                Wine Estate will focus on the vineyard and educate 
                                tour guests on the sustainable practices of the 
                                industry
